FlowerFlower graphicText Box: Couples from Overseas
I have married many couples where one or both members are not Australian citizens.
Anyone can get married in Australia and what better place for your wedding than Sydney, with some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, parks, headlands and of course Sydney Harbour!
Marrying in Australia is a simple affair - my overseas couples often comment on how little red tape is involved! We can make all the arrangements by email or on the phone. The only requirement is that you sign the Notice of Intended Marriage, have it witnessed by an authorised person in your country and have it in my hands no later than a month and a day before the ceremony. Everything else can be done online or when you arrive in Sydney. I can also help you make all your arrangements for a wonderful day, from your photographer to the reception.
Why not consider making your wedding the high point of a wonderful Australian holiday? I am here to help you make that possible.

Migrating?
If you plan to marry someone who is not Australian they must have a visa to visit or migrate to Australia if you are both planning to live here. A person may be able to migrate to Australia permanently if they are in a relationship with an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen. The relationship should be a married relationship, a de facto relationship, a prospective marriage (fiancé(e)), or an interdependent relationship. Interdependent relationships are usually a same sex partner relationship.
For information on partner migration please refer to the Department of Immigration’s website at:
http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/partners/sponsorship-requirements.htm
When you book me for a wedding I will supply you with a letter stating that you have lodged a Notice of Intended Marriage which you will need to submit to the Department of Immigration along with your application.

If you are not planning to live in Australia no contact with the Department is required.

TESTIMONIAL
“I am a mother who with six weeks notice my son and his fiancée announced they were going to fly to Australia for four weeks backpacking and just thought whilst there they would get married.
I had no problem with that as they always said they would get married somewhere abroad but did not know when. The only problem I had was what you required to marry in Australia.
The great internet came to the rescue namely Philip Holland.
From the very first email request asking for help Philip emailed back and forth with all the necessary information we required. He checked the NOIM and told us the notaries we could use.
I can only recommend Philip to anyone who lives outside Australia, planning to marry there get in touch with Philip and you are on your way to a wonderful wedding.
My son and his fiancée leave Scotland in two days for their adventure and are travelling with all the correct paperwork and details of florists, hairdresser, etc. all thanks to Philip.
Thank you Philip for all your help over the last six weeks and I cannot wait to see the photos and to hear from Brian and Susan on their wonderful day.
All the best
Wilma McConnell”
